The Scenario: You are a successful Property Developer, promoting your latest project to an audience of Investors and the media at the next big Property Investment tradefair... Like yourselves, there are other successful developers and their projects on display. How would you attract and engage the passing audience long enough to explain the true value of your project? Many Developers opt for the sound and light routine, with big booths, entertainment and free food (yes there is such a thing as a free lunch in Dubai)! This is supplemented by the obligatory plasma Tv or projector playing back a video walkthru in a loop, and the scale model of the project on a table. Audience questions are fielded by walking around the scale model on display, and via brochures.Such a show of developer strength is impressive and needed, to perhaps instill investor confidence in the company. In some cases it could even close a sale, after all it is advertising and awareness that matters at a tradeshow. We look at a new method of creating "awareness" that can be a great complement to the methods adopted at tradeshows and as outlined below, in other scenarios when making a property presentation. "Immersive" Real Estate Tours: You may have heard of these terms used loosely in Real Estate... immersive, virtual and 3d walkthrus.Immersive in this context would broadly mean, literally "immersing a person in an environment". The Environment of course would be the project, property and neighborhood being presented by the developer. An immersive tour in the real world sense would be taking the audience in a coach, to the actual site of the project and giving them a first hand feel of the neighborhood, and the proposed location of the upcoming project. At a trade fair, or in the case of Developers hiring a RealEstate Agency to market the project, this is not always possible for practical reasons. The next best thing is to actually try and port this environment in as realistic a way as possible to the the audience. Real Vision - An Immersive Experience. The Real Vision Display as shown in the pictures in this article, is a comfortable lightweight pair of cyber-sunglasses, and does not intimidate an audience as the virtual reality helmets as seen in sci-fi movies. Real Vision Homes (or a competent film production house) can go and film the location of the proposed project or development; along with the surrounding neighborhood (at this point the technology used for fiming is identical to how Imax movies are made, only the equipment used is more affordable) In short, the Developer, or Real Estate Agency, has a portable immersive kit to carry at tradeshows, Press Conferences, and Road Shows, to bring the project alive to the audience. Playback operation is simply one-touch and as easy as operating a DVD player. Infact the entire kit consists of the cyber-sunglasses that are worn as a regular pair of sunglasses, even over reading-glasses, and playback is from a portable DVD player - No computer needed!
Experience it now: As a Developer or Real Estate Agent, this kit will soon be stocked and available directly from our Online Store. If you would like to pre order a kit you can use the contact us form on this website to state your interest. As a Developer you can see the benefits of this new presentation medium:
Summary of benefits: {mosgoogle} The aim of this article and the technology introduced is not only meant as a futuristic way of presenting projects to an audience (or the press and media), but to provide a more real and much needed resource to a potential investor who may be present at the event.
One thing we did not mention, is the benefits this also has on projects that are yet to be completed. Using Computer generated 3d models, it is completely possible to simply film the real world location and superimpose the computer generated 3d model of the project in this real world surrounding. As you can see, this is a good complement if not a better way, of presenting a project to an audience instead of just brochures and scale models on tables. A self running voice and visual immersive experience saves valuable sales agents time at such events as well. We will of course discuss how you can supplement (augment) an actual Real-Estate field trip, but that is the subject of another article to come soon!
