It is a known fact that almost everyone starts their search for a house, commercial property or investment, by first checking for information on the Internet. They will in a matter of hours find out about the latest hot property investment and associated info such as location of the property, time to completion and finance options. It is only then that they start their search for a good price and a competent agent.
Sure, you stand a better chance, if the property that a client is looking for is listed with you. But, lets think ‘local’ for a minute… In the UAE and the region, there is no exclusivity or law (yet) when it comes to a listing. The good this is, you do not even need to have the property they are looking for, listed with you. Sounds too good to be true? It isn’t, but it does take a little work. Yes, work…so if you are already content making bulk deals in the Dubai Market then there is no need to read further… this is for agents that don’t mind learning and working toward long term stability and success in their career and industry.

- Participate in Forums on topics related to Real Estate in Dubai and the UAE
- Read more on projects coming up in the capital such as Abu Dhabi’s Reem Island and the other emirates - You will have an edge over the main stream agents when it comes to investors looking at these markets. Your first email or telephone call will come from overseas- This is guaranteed
- Post comments on Blogs posts such as this! Yes that’s right, this website isn’t about property listings alone. It is being read internationally and the page hits from overseas has been the inspiration for this article.
- Start your own blog if you have the time. There are free services out there such as www.blogger.com , this will allow you to author topics and show you off as an authority in a way on the subjects you write about. However participating in a community platform or Forum such as this site allows you to ‘debate’ and share knowledge with others.
- While other agents simply use Blogs and forums as a spam platform for their listings, you can beat them at their own game, by Value Adding to their post, via comments or replies, offering advice on the project, the neighborhood and other interesting related information on the listing. This is the best way to make yourself stand out from the rest! An interested buyer will pay more attention to your comments (knowledge) than to the actual listing itself. Chances are you will be the one closing the deal or at least involved in it.
